Everyone on my Tumblr dash, PLEASE watch this. Especially if you are a creative artist:

Adobe is going to scrap their hard copies (disks) for their software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash), and have you pay a subscription for the latest software called the Adobe Creative Cloud. $50 per month. Could you really afford such an expense in the long run?

This is really disturbing. Please hear what he has to say, it really is a serious situation for working artists. Pass this along so others may know about the Adobe Creative Cloud and how horrible it is.

Yep… Just went to see how much Flash costs. You know, to just buy the program? Guess what? After spending a while looking, it appears that you CAN’T anymore. You have to pay an outrageous subscription fee. I hate adobe. Is there a petition going around to stop this nonsense? Because I want to sign it.

Thanks! I know a lot of artists and people who like art follow me. You guys should go sign that.

Today I just signed the petition in the voice against the Adobe Creative Cloud. For those who are not familiar with what the new Creative Cloud can do to you as an artist, I really suggest you watch this video.

For those who have seen, reblogged, faved, here’s the link (as shown in the previous reblog) to sign the petition. Anything can happen, Adobe really needs to know that many artists are not supportive of them controlling not just the software..but the content worked on the Cloud.

Signed! Boosting the signal, I prefer to be able to buy my software.

I’m not going to fucking SUBSCRIBE to Photoshop. What the fuck do you expect me to tell people, “sorry, can’t do your commission this month. Couldn’t afford the Photoshop rent”?

No way. This is unacceptable and must not happen! WATCH THE VID AND SPREAD THE WORD, GUYS!

May not affect me personally as I don’t use computer art programs, but this is NOT ON. Spread the word!

Utena is one of my favorite series, but I don’t exactly get why it’s classified as a magical girl show.

I may as well post this sketch now because it’s been sitting around for a while and I’m not sure I’ll ever finish it :(

Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy, in case you hadn’t heard. How dare she remove those ticking time bombs from her chest, amiright? Like, hasn’t she learned by now that her body is public domain and we all get to vote on what she does with it? Sheesh, how selfish can ya get.

A+ Would recommend

Okay guys.. I’ve never done this before. Please bear with me.

This is our family dog, Arnold! As you can probably tell, he is a pit-mix. While he has had a few health issues over the past few years, we have struggled through it with him - from tumors, to hernias, to arthritis, and then some - but today things really went from bad to worse. Arnie is suffering from paralysis of the larynx, and it’s going to require some emergency surgery, the price-tag of which is between $5,000 and $6,000.

We don’t have that kind of money… but I’m willing to work for it. I love this dog. He doesn’t even live with me, but let me reiterate, I love this dog. Our whole family LOVES this dog. He’s on the older side - or, well, WE THINK, due to the fact he was adopted out of a rescue program, we aren’t 100% sure how old he is, although those cataracts of his are tellin’ a tale - but he has a few good years left in him, and I’m not going to give them up without a fight.

We have to make the decision by TOMORROW, May 11th, if we are going to be able to pay for this. Apparently a payment plan is negotiable, but this is still a LOT of money as far as our family funds go. We are riddled with health issues on the human side of things, too, so our usual buffer for pet bills just isn’t gonna cut a few thousand bucks.

I have set up a little crowd-funding thing here, as the elegantly titled Save Arnie-Ru! There are more specifics to read about if you want to click it and check it out. If you show me a screen-cap of your receipt page, you can e-mail it to me, message me, whatever you prefer, I will draw you somethin’. It’s just that easy. Donate a buck? GET A SKETCH. Donate more? I mean, hey, it’s negotiable. I’ll see what I can do! And I will do my best. I will take requests! Let me know when you send me your receipt if you had something in mind and I’ll try to be flexible. I am also putting up a DONATION BUTTON on the front of my blog, which I have never done, before. If you want to send me a note through that saying what you would like, I can e-mail you the picture through whatever is listed on your PayPal.

I think that’s about it, although I am sure I am forgetting something. I feel pretty scrambled. This is a tough thing to do, in very little time - especially when you haven’t had to do it, before! REBLOGS ARE VERY APPRECIATED, thank you so much in advance for your consideration!

Ahhhh god I’m so sorry to hear this I hope you guys get to help him, pets are family members, too!

For a very long time, I was never happy with my own character designs because I was always trying to achieve ridiculous amounts of detail on my characters and it just wasn’t working out - I just kept drawing a blank. After I started watching Creamy Mami a year or so ago, I fell in love with Creamy Mami’s design (and some of the other girls Akemi Takada designed). Now I’m finally happy with how my own characters are turning out-with much simpler designs and without a million patterns everywhere!
